Law and Order : Special Family Unit

This month of October are our annual Family Month. This year we’ll take a look at Law and Order, a special Family Unit and the biblical view on families and on the 10 commandments.

There will be a free devotional book for you to read throughout the whole month of October with your family. Come and get it on October 2nd for the free book. After that Sunday you will have to purchase the book if you would like to get a copy. There is no reserving the book. You will have to come to get your free copy.

This series will talk about families in general and we will have translators for your family who cannot speak English. Come and ask your family members and experience God together.

The 6AM topic is for fathers or father to be with the topic of “Wisdom for Fathers” while the 8AM topic is about “Every Man’s Battle” and is open for everyone.

Family Mission Trip : Menado

10 Days of Prayer

Coming June 2-11, 2011 ICA will be having our annual 10 Days of Prayer, beginning at Ascension day to the day of the Pentacost. We will have the event in both ICA East and West and we will seek God and pray for 10 days in the house of the Lord. During the 10 days we will have prayer night each night at ICA and as a church we will fast together.

Powerful blessing has happened in the past and it will happen again. Do come and experience God during these 10 days.

Merapi Missions Trip

ICA will be having a 2nd mission trip for relief of Mt. Merapi’s refugees. The Missions Trip will cost IDR 500.000 per person and will be held 18-25 November 2010 (Thursday – Sunday). Be prepared to get bring the love of God to the merapi victims. We will be giving away supplies and medical and also some KKR (details to be decided).

Relief Supplies Packaging

Merapi volcanic eruption disaster.

Mission Trip : South Malang

Join us through the month of August for Family Wise, a series that walks us daily through Solomon’s proverbs. This series of sermons are designed to have us read through the wisdom that will take us daily in our walk with Jesus.

There is a book that you can get in ICA for Rp.10.000 (or if you join us for the August 1, 2010 you can get it for FREE). The book was written with the congregation of ICA Surabaya in mind but anyone can also follow. The book is not a commentary on proverbs, they are just devotionary thoughts of our Senior Pastor Jeff Hartensveld as he reads through the book of proverbs and got it through the Holy Spirit.

Refuge Mission Trip

Refuge for the month of January 2010 will do something different. We will have a reach out, some kind of local mission trip, to :

Sejahtera Orphanage house,
Sukomanunggal Jaya 1, no 73

Time : Saturday, 30 January 2010 – Starts 09:00 AM until 12:00PM or finishes

We will paint the orphanage house and minister to them. Let’s bless them.

Missions Trip

Ladies Bible Study

ICA starts the new year with 2 new Bible study series for ladies. Instead of the usual schedules the Bible studies will follow the new schedules outlined below (see under each book’s description for the time).

The new materials come from two books :

Daniel: Lives of Integrity, Words of Prophecy by Beth Moore shows how individuals can live with integrity in today’s self-absorbed society. This is a study of prophecy and learning how to shine for Christ in our modern culture. Just as the prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressures—to compromise his faith, to live in a hostile culture, and to confront temptations and threats—we as believers face many of the same trials.

Wisdom For Mothers by Denise Glen will take you deep into God’s Word to find the answers you seek to build a solid marriage and to rear godly offspring. This study provides Biblical direction and practical help for moms or moms to be in thriving in today’s chaotic, changing world.

Each session will take approximately 2 hours.
